<p dir="auto" style="color: #333238; margin: 0;" align="initial">It might be sensible to define a standard header to prepend all the kinds of packets. I'd suggest having some kind of way to identify the protocol/version of the protocol, and maybe reserve some bits there also for possible future use. You could make the "type" be part of that header, and then it could also be base64url encoded to make it more compact (although at the cost of some processing overhead to decode each packet).</p>
