History tells me that the release gets less attention, and each place where they have differences is another point where I would expect to encounter documentation bit rot. We had a LOT of documentation churn at the <code style='font-size: 90%; color: #18171d; word-wrap: break-word; background-color: #ececef; border-radius: .25rem; margin-top: 0; font-weight: inherit; font-family: "GitLab Mono","JetBrains Mono","Menlo","DejaVu Sans Mono","Liberation Mono","Consolas","Ubuntu Mono","Courier New","andale mono","lucida console",monospace; vertical-align: bottom; white-space: pre-wrap; overflow-wrap: break-word; word-break: keep-all; padding: 2px 4px;'>6</code> release, and it created a lot of extra review overhead and slowed down the release, and created more work for the release as well. Adding overhead to the release has to be weighed carefully against whatever benefits might accrue.</p>
