yes, that's right. Registration is in a few months. I'm quite sure that<br>
there is a solution that you can start on a project and then continue it<br>
as a GSoC project. But note that there are quite clear rules from<br>
Google, that only the work during GSoC can be evaluated. And there is<br>
always only a limited number of slots for GSoC students so we can't<br>
guarantee any acceptance even if you start before GSoC starts.<br>
<br>
Independent on whether you would like to participate in GSoC later or<br>
not I would suggest to start with<br>
<a href="https://devel.rtems.org/wiki/GSoC/GettingStarted" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://devel.rtems.org/wiki/<wbr>GSoC/GettingStarted</a>. Then pick a project<br>
that you are interested in (either from the open projects page or<br>
something other that you find interesting) and start to ask about it on<br>
the mailing list and whether someone would be ready to support you now<br>
and maybe be your mentor during GSoC.<br>
