Thanks Chris for your response.

What hardware are using ?
Are you referring to the examples of devices being used by the application?

Does a BSP exist for that hardware and did you run the examples on that BSP ?
If I am right(I am completely newbie here), BSP is written for an specific OS but the application which we want to port does not use any operating system at all only "C" but it supports two different architecture(STM32 and LPC21xx) and has drivers for this architecture and for many "mcu" peripheral like "I2c and SPI". And when I looked at the architectures supported by RTEMS I was not able to find any port for this two processor.
Hi Everybody,
I am doing an academic project in which I am going to port an existing
This embedded application is completely
written in "C" and has various sensors and hardware units which
interacts to processor periodically and here we want to introduce
"RTEMS" task. I have already built "RTEMS" and able to run various
examples in the repository but I am facing problem in where to start in
"RTEMS" to port the application. Do I need to implement a separate "BSP"
or device driver for the hardwares in application?
I know I might be a little off topic here because this mailing list is
completely dedicated to "RTEMS" development topic but I couldn't find a
better forum than this as people here already using RTEMS.
This list is fine. RTEMS development question are normally directed to the developers list.
