I am running the Gaisler distribution of RTEMS 4.10 on multiple LEON3 development boards. I am currently working on interfacing a GR-CPCI-XC4V to a Condor Engineering MIL-STD-1553B CPCI card. It is my understanding that by using the RTEMS driver manager and GRPCI on my LEON3 configured board, I should be able to communicate with the 1553 card via PCI. GE provides an API to program the CPCI, and I will need to run this API on RTEMS.

My question is this, has anyone in the group tried to port GE’s Bus Tools 1553 API to RTEMS? Or even more general, has anyone used any other MIL-STD-1553B CPCI cards with RTEMS?

Thank you all for your time!

Matt Grubb
