It could be that NXP (Philips) wants to be THE big player in automotive over Renesas (NEC) , and Freescale PPC processors are the big ECU fish. </div><div><br class=""></div><div>NXP says that they have little overlap with Freescale except in the RF area, many users point at K-series and LPC and say “but what about these lines?”.
