It was on my ToDo list to open this discussion.  Your description of what
--enable-posix means matches what I think it means. I think there isn't much
I would even consider turning on when POSIX is disabled:

clockgetcpuclockid.c
clockgetres.c
clockgettime.c
clocksettime.c
nanosleep.c
sched.c - split sched_yield and it should be available
sleep.c
sysconf.c
usleep.c

devctl.c and mprotect.c are functional candidates but they don't work
so isn't a big deal. :)

So maybe not as many functions cross the boundary as I thought at first glance.
