This is a good idea. I think the post-link hook should stay but it can be empty
for all BSPs. I support going until the linker output and no further.

In time when dynamic loading is implemented and stable the tests can be
dynamically loaded. This would reduce the size of a build and so reduce the
time need to do the build.
