Oh I see you're right that IMFS, miniIMFS, and devFS use the default freenode,
which does nothing. So it should be fixed, but it isn't.
The network comes up but when a connection is closed, an endless loop of
exceptions is fired. I guess something else is messed up as well. Anyway
network worked before the series of patches that removed those null-pointer
checks...
