[Bug 1612] Recent change to rtems/cpukit/libcsupport/src/freenode.c breaks socket use

Vinu, we are trying to simplify the filesystem interface and and make
EVERYTHING required.  The conversion of socket to file descriptor is a hacky
routine that Jennifer and I just missed.  It is a "file system" of sorts and
just has to be consistent with the rest.

I would really prefer that the fix goes into libio_sockets.c rather than a path
in close we will have to create a special filesystem to test.
