This patch compiles fine for me using the sparc64 tool RPMs.  

There may be an issue to address with the printf constants since there are a
handful of printf warnings.

Some comments on this code.  My copy has these fixed.

I still wonder if it is possible within our structure and using autotools
properly to share some of the code with sparc 32-bit port.  But IMO that is
not a critical requirement of merging this.  The code that is shared would 
require some rework on both sides to be shareable.  And this might just be not
be worth it for some assembly macros and 100 lines of .S code.
