Gedare and I chatted on IRC.  He has technical concerns that the 32 and 64 bit
ports are so different that it wouldn't be a good idea.  I had that concern and
am concerned that the sparc port is used in many critical systems.  I would
hate to do anything to negatively impact a heavily used and analysed port.

Ralf said he was ok with this portion.  I am ok with it.  Committing.
