Are you saying I do not need to use aclocal/canonicalize-tools.m4 in an
external application ?

If I do not use it I am forced to repeat what is in these files on every
application I wish to use autotools on. Being take a copy of a single master
set I can use as a documented standard method of using autotools for RTEMS is a
good thing. I would rather something we manage and release than a set of
variations in the wild that are close and similar yet none the same.

Is there a technical issue with have a common master set ? I understand there
does not have to be a master set.
