Thanks for the information. It is good to have this documented.

I will look at removing these from the applications and report back to you how
it goes. I am not sure when this will happen. One question, how would we
manage/package the objdump wart where arch specific flags are needed ?

I understand the separation of the parts in the RTEMS source tree and its need.
I was thinking about a copy type process rather than a single directory or VC
magic. If you feel this is not needed that is fine.
