Better demonstrative patch (see comment)

Not sure if this is still of any interest given 4.10 is now an old version, but
I just realised my "Demonstrative patch" was still missing some tweaks required
to get RTEMS TFTP to work (at least with EPICS.)

Newer patch attached. The new checks are mostly around null/zero-length path
components.

With this patch applied I am able to boot EPICS on RTEMS 4.10, loading files
via TFTP. Although it may not be a good long-term solution (see prev. comment.)
