Hmm, the latest GCC release is 4.6.1. As a matter of fundamental policy, I do
not upgrade any of the RTEMS toolchains' components to snapshots.

That said, I would not be opposed to adopting individual patches, which fix
individual bugs and are unlikely to not cause regressions for other targets.

Do you have such a patch? 

As far as I can gather from going after the gcc-BZ, there is none such, and the
only observation is "This one bug is not present in powerpc GCC-4.6.2 20110819"
