[Bug 1367] Malloc statistics wrong in R4.10

I don't have a problem merging the malloc stats into the heap IF they remain
pluggable so they drop out unless configured.

The subject on this PR says "statistics wrong" but I don't catch what is
technically wrong. There is missing functionality and duplication of
functionality and you are proposing making only one copy which covers all
desired capabilities. Can we rename the PR to "malloc/heap statistics
improvements"?
