PPC 440 support Modifications (updated to Head)

I have manually attempted to address the rejects when applying the patch to the
head. 

+ Removing sections with only $Id in them helped.
+ asm -> __asm__ was source of a few rejects in clock 
+ cpuIdent.? need review versus old patch.
