I have experienced this 'spurious interrupt 7' issue on very different x86
hardware, too. As a matter of fact I was just getting it a few minutes ago.

I had experienced it quite a while ago and also thought that 4.9 didn't
show the problem but then found that 4.9 simply didn't print a message.
