 A key part of doing this is getting a single boot loader. It mean both
 sides of the testing line up.

 The grub build of grub2 I did read the grub configuration file from disk
 which allowed the user to edit the exe to be loaded. I am not sure if this
 is best path or if we need to review the boot loaders.

 Is this testing on qemu ?
