 Are the FPU instructions really that slow?  I would disable the PSR.EF in
 the _ISR_Handler at

 dont_fix_pil:
         or       %g5, SPARC_PSR_PIL_MASK, %g5
 pil_fixed:
         wr       %g5, SPARC_PSR_ET_MASK, %psr ! **** ENABLE TRAPS ****

 So why not enable traps and disable EF in one step?
