New description:

Qemu has a simulation of the mpc8544ds reference system
 (https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/fact-sheet/MPC8544DSFS.pdf). This system
should be very similar to the mvme3100 as both use an MPC854x as the main
CPU which is a System on Chip and contains many core peripheral functions
 including network controller.

This would be a very helpful BSP to have running on Qemu as it would
provide a PowerPC simulation target with Network capabilities.

Note: Initial development is expected only on Qemu.
