 This is a good target for QEMU and it looks like the renode.io emulator
 supports it as well.

 The board has been discontinued and will not be produced anymore. A quick
 search did not turn up any units that are available for purchase. Should
 that be a factor in deciding to implement this BSP?

 There is a follow on board called HiFive Unmatched, but the website says
 that the first production run was sold out and they are now going to focus
 on a new board that has not been released yet:

 I have been looking for RISC-V targets have a SMP CPU, Ethernet, and at
 least some hope of low cost and long term availability.
 Right now, the VisionFive 2 board and the Upcoming Pine64 Star64 boards
 are promising, but I don't know if there are emulated targets for these
 boards.
