I usually run the testsuite of fstest and at work I use mostly the FAT32 file system.

About the first question, some issue with the way `iop` are currently handled exists, but they require far more changes and some discussion to fix them (at least is what I think).
Example are the issue #2158 and #5045.

I'm not saying that these things needs to be addressed now, the code has been like that for many years and none has had any particular issue with it.
