This works to make the compiler errors go away.

Funny enough so did https://gcc.gnu.org/git/?p=gcc.git;a=blob;f=gcc/testsuite/g%2B%2B.dg/cpp0x/nsdmi-union7.C;h=c840ddf5fbc5b964ccf3d235630379f40f1ada95;hb=df118d7ba138cacb17203d4a1b5f27730347cc77 - adding a pad member to unions that use the structs in question.
