I don't see how are arguments differ?  I'm saying to have both stored and to set what we use as the 'short' version by default so we don't get a whole mix them everywhere developres will use anywhere from 8-12 characters.

Right now we are only storing the short version I'm saying to add both one for display and one for using where it matters.
