I have seen the MR and these threads. It is not clear if the MR is to avoid empty files or this error or both. Again do I need to apply the MR to help resolve this issue?

Yes these is confusion. I am happy to help and if you could please provide the commands in the needed order I need to run it would help me see if I am doing something wrong or there is stiff a problem.
