I haven't looked at the failing tests under QEMU and why they're failing. And we haven't managed yet to get the BeagleV Fire port merged or fully tested, but there are MRs for that. It's feasible but it's going to take some time/effort.

I haven't used SIS before, but I guess it depends on what we want to do. If it's just for CI testing, then it's fine. But most people are familiar with QEMU+GDB if they want to debug or just give it a try, especially when it comes to peripherals, etc. That might be more appealing to new starters.
