Technically, there is no need to carry these patches around. My goal was always to integrate eventually everything. However, it needs a lot of time and energy to convince others of the work. For example, the current integration work stalled at: https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/rtos/rtems/-/merge_requests/110
