Linker scripts support the DEFINED() macro as well as arbitrary inequalities in conjunction with the ternary operator. There are usage examples of != and > in spec/build/bsps/riscv/linkcmdsbase.yml and spec/build/bsps/arm/atsam/linkcmds.yml.
