As noted in bold in my comment above **my changes are not supposed to be user facing and if it is then it is a bug**

This change reverts **internal** changes I made to isolate builds.

I also made it extremely clear during several meetings over the last year I'm not sure how much more I could have done.  The MRs sat for two weeks and I tested as much as I could.

So given that the changes are not supposed to be user facing and this MR reverts the internal-to-rtems changes I made what are your issues with it.
