## Summary
GDB 16.2 has been released. This issue is to track switching rtems 7 tools to gdb 16.2.

Note that the nios2 has been deprecated/obsoleted by the GNU Tools. GCC 14 and gdb 15 are the last to include nios2 support. RTEMS can continue to support the nios2 with the last versions to include nios2 support but at some this will become an untenable position to maintain. For the time being, the nios2 versions will track the versions that support it. Updating to gdb 16.1 is the first update to cross the support being dropped line.
