Each `xxx` identifier is the FreeBSD version upon which that branch is based. For the 6 release, 6-freebsd-12 was what was chosen for release as the most stable and functional. The other 6-freebsd-xxx branches were experimental or transitional.

If you look up those issues in GitLab, they should reference MRs that are merged into the 6-freebsd-12 branch (except 6 which has been incorrectly included due to a bug in GitLab that inserts references to it everywhere).
