@anj_anl.gov You are correct in that an interrupt should never leave the FPSR in any kind of altered state. That is not what is being discussed here as far as I know. My understanding of interrupts and the FPSR matches yours.
In fact, it's not just the delay calls that allow it, but *any* non-static function call.
