The versions here should be \>= instead of == because we have no way to update to the latest versions.  Setting minimums or pinning if required is useful but generally the latest versions work most of the time.

Also, what is the procedure for updating the versions if we want to bring everything forward to the 'latest' if we know it works?

This is a great addition.
