It seems like there are several intermediate commits that are not final code. Every commit should compile clean (and run tests as expected). If there are intermediate commits that are not necessary for the final code under review, as seems to be the case here, then please squash your commits together (e.g., with `rebase --interactive`) so that we don't have intermediate commits with your work-in-progress versions of code.
