Regarding the formatting, you should go through and remove the random changes you made to whitespace. I can't tell you exactly how, because the whitespace isn't always obvious. You should look at each change and figure out what you did. A lot of times it is your text editor that did something without you noticing it (e.g., inserting leading indentation, or adding dos line endings).

We don't yet have suitable tools for locally reformatting your code, but the CI pipeline should give some hints about coding style.
