Reproduced on spike rm64imafdc with default/empty config.ini for riscv/rv64imafdc.
Just git applied the attached patch.
My working HEAD was c4625d8d86be1497c62ceca26a96fba2bc32c03a on main and 6335d7e48a692e4c4fe0577b6bba44ff0f64aefc on 6
