Thanks for the offer. I have already posted a patch to newlib and will be posting a V2 today I hope.

One of the other warning types to address is "-Wmissing-field-initializer" where a structure initialization is imssing an element. Usually due to one being added and all the code using that structure not being updated. Add that to spec/build/cpukit/optwarn.yml and turn off -Werror to see all the occurrences. About 75 of these will show up in a sparc/leon3 build. Once those are addressed, we can see how many are left elsewhere.
