This is useful for knowing where the file is sitting eg:

* Using \<file\> located in \<directory\>"

or

* File \<file\> not found in \<directory(ies)\>

Over time search directories can change or files picked up in wrong places by accident or you can put a file in a wrong directory so trace messages are useful for this.  It's also useful for bug reports to know that it's not found in the directories it should be searching in.
