Original author here (anj on the old RTEMS trac), the previous comment looks like a summary (AI-written?) of the problem that I reported during the COVID-19 pandemic when we were forced to work from home.

As reported in the first comment above the EPICS build system now adds the `--no-warn-mismatch` linker flag to both mvme2100 and mvme2700 target builds, which is sufficient as a workaround for those boards. We're not looking for a further solution for this on RTEMS-5; if a better fix is developed for a future release (6.x or 7) I'd be happy to remove that linker flag though.
