Thanks for the clarification. That distinction makes perfect sense. My team and I definitely fall into the first category—integrating vendor source specifically for this BSP adaptation—rather than building a generic external package via RSB.

We have followed the 'Vendor Import' pattern (Clean Import + Additive Changes in separate commits) to comply with the Third Party Source policy. If I find any ambiguities in the Software Engineering Guide regarding this process, I will certainly provide feedback.
