@gedare  Based on discussion and  comments, I understand the goal is to allow developers to toggle the stack checker on/off without touching the reporter configuration.I think   removing the **`#error`** entirely from  works better, maybe a comment about it in documentation with the final design choice being left to the developers.

 Does this approach work, or would a **`#warning`** be preferred as Hassan had suggested?
