The code seems to work for @thnkslprpt and @ar-in0 has tested code and reported it has been working for him as well. So I am for merging in the actual version.

Thanks to @sebhub for more insight into configuration options. This discussion is good base for next steps to enhance TMS570 configuration and choice of BSP variants and enabling HW initialization and selftests.
