I tested with mvme5100 and mvme2100. It's working for both now.

There are some other preexisting issues with 2100, but I have to file separate MR for those. This MR doesn't break anything in 2100. I also got libbsd networking working with 5100, which I will post in a follow up MR.

I'm still keeping it in draft mode as I have to wait till Monday to test on 2700
