I just checked on `6` and LTO is on by default for GCC. Check [gcc-common-1.cfg](https://gitlab.rtems.org/rtems/tools/rtems-source-builder/-/blob/6/source-builder/config/gcc-common-1.cfg?ref_type=heads#L41).
