@opticron I added a commit to this MR today: "riscv/irq: read maximum interrupts from FDT" 

it's mingled with the changes so it wasn't clean for me to open a new MR for it. The change allows to dynamically determine the maximum valid IRQ number from the FDT instead of relying on the `RISCV_MAXIMUM_EXTERNAL_INTERRUPTS` config macro.
