Do we know how much difference this makes to the overall time on a host with one job running?

If these settings produce a more reliable and consistent set of results I prefer we have then set as the default. If the results are similar but the behavior is better on multi-core hosts running QEMU in parallel is better then I am also in favor of these being the defaults.

If the settings are placed in a macro a user could override it in a local config.
