I tried reproducing this on riscv/rv64imafdc with `-smp 10`. The test completes successfully without hitting timeout. Also, execution time increases with higher thread counts. especially in barrier and parallel bench .

Would tuning the runtime heuristic for slower BSP be a good direction to investigate here?
