IIRC, we had to add the Generative AI section to the default template because contributors were not reading the requirements. It was more of a reminder than anything to complete the section. Since we have maintainers and contributors/developers that don't use AI, most people have taken to just writing "none" in the section. Others have deleted it and not used it at all.
